The woman whose body was found in a home after a fire has been identified by Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley as Teresa Leach, 45.

Firefighters found the woman's body in the remnants of the home on Gravel Pit Road off of Mark Road in Dillon.

Neighbors called 9-1-1 just after 11:20 p.m. Sunday saying flames were coming from the house.

One of the neighbors, Huey Locklear, says he tried to save her, but couldn't get to her in time. "We knocked the front door in, and I yelled for her and couldn't get any response. So, we knocked the window there in the living room and steady hollering and didn't get no response."

Results from an autopsy have not yet been released. The coroner doesn't suspect any criminal involvement in her death.

The Dillon County Sheriff's Office and State Law Enforcement Division are investigating.
