Rain chances increase around the area today as a cold front drops into the Southeast. Strong to isolated severe storms can't be ruled out with the main threats being damaging wind gusts and hail. This unsettled weather will stick around into Saturday as the front slowly moves through late Saturday night. This will keep the chance for scattered rain and storms around into early Sunday morning with more sun by the afternoon. It will still be quite humid and warm with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.Activity is ramping up in the tropics. Tropical depression #7 formed yesterday and may strengthen into Tropical Storm Gordon over the next day or so.
