South Carolina's largest Agricultural Expo is coming to Florence next January.

Committee members and sponsors met Monday to discuss ideas for the first Agricultural Business and Farming Expo at the Florence Civic Center.

The committee has been organizing this event for the past year and hopes to have a great turnout.

"We wanted to bring as many people together in one meeting/setting as we can to talk about where do we stand, what the next 3-5 years hold in store, and what can we do in South Carolina to maximize what agriculture does for our state," said Huge Weathers, the state's agriculture commissioner.

Participants will be able to talk to vendors from all over the state, attend seminars, and take certification classes.

The agricultural expo is set for January 16th-18th, 2013.
