GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Court records show a former Anderson County Councilman plans to plead guilty to mail fraud as part of a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme.

Ronnie Anderson signed a plea agreement Friday in federal court. He is scheduled to appear before a judge Monday. He faces up to 20 years in prison on the charges

Authorities say Wilson told customers he was buying and selling silver, but instead used the money for his scheme. Investigators think he lost $60 million of the $90 million invested with him.

The plea agreement says Wilson will open his books and make full restitution.

Wilson also is a former member of the state Board of Education and national commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
