MYRTLE BEACH -- Myrtle Beach police have charged Jennifer Gero, 41, with assault after they say she stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with a steak knife as he talked on the phone to his ex-girlfriend.
The man told police he was sitting on a bench outside Gero's apartment at 28th Avenue North when it happened.
He said he took off running and called police.
The officer who responded said the man declined to go to the hospital.
Gero was taken into custody at her apartment. Police noted in the report that she was in an intoxicated state and disorderly.
