BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WPDE) - Clark Newsome with South Carolina Department of Corrections says one inmate stabbed another around 10 a.m. Saturday at Evans Correctional Institution in Bennettsville.
Newsome says the inmate's injuries aren't life threatening but he did require medical treatment. An illegal weapon was likely used, according to Newsome.
The incident remains under investigation by SCDC.
