One person has died in a wreck on 17 business in front of Old Time Pottery near Surfside Beach, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol website.
It happened about 5:40 p.m.
As many as five cars were involved, but no information has been released by Highway Patrol at this time.
The south bound lanes are open, but one north bound lane is still shut down.
A medical helicopter did land to airlift one person from the scene.
