Dennis Levon McCollum, II pleaded guilty Thursday to Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature for shooting a man in the stomach on December 21, 2010.
Judge Steven H. John sentenced McCollum to 12 years without parole.
McCollum got in an argument with the victim over marijuana at Quail Marsh Apartments in Myrtle Beach and shot him.
The victim had to have multiple surgeries and spent and extended period of time in the hospital.
