West Florence Fire Department officials say a fire at Oakdale Terrace Apartments in Florence has been ruled suspicious and arson investigators with the Florence County Sheriffs Office have been called in.

Someone called 911 just after 4 p.m. Thursday reporting flames seen coming from the apartment's vinyl siding.

Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and had the fire contained and under control within 10 minutes.

Officials say there is significant damage to the side of the apartment building.

No one was injured in the fire.
