Marion County Healthcare Foundation opened the Helping Hands Free Medical Clinic in Mullins Friday, where doctors and nurses will provide free basic primary health care.

"It was a huge need. I know that everyone who works here at the clinic just feels so much better about themselves, that we're able to reach out to those under-served patients that don't have any insurance," said Erin Stewart, a Physicians Assistant at the new clinic.

Patients have to meet eligibility requirements to be treated at the new clinic and volunteers are always needed.

Contact the clinic if you would like to help or click here for more information.
