Rice defeats Bauer for 7th Congressional Republican nod

Horry County Council Chairman Tom Rice defeated Former Lt. Governor Andre Bauer in the 7th Congressional District Republican runoff election Tuesday night.

Both Bauer and Rice spent more than $500,000 in their campaigns.

Rice held a lead most of the night Tuesday as results from the runoff election came in.

Rice will now go on to take on Gloria Bromell Tinubu in November's general election. She won the Democratic primary runoff Tuesday night.
