A couple, who we are not identifying, were given a reward for information they provided that led to the conviction of one of three men who stole copper from WPDE's transmission tower in 2010.

Both WPDE and WBTW towers were hit.

Douglas Reed Cox pleaded guilty last week to grand larceny and was sentenced to time served because he'd been in jail since his arrest in March.

Thomas Leon Williams pled guilty last year and was given probation.

Deputies say they still have warrants to charge a third person, but he hasn't been arrested yet.

Here's a link to the story we did when thieves hit our Florence office. That case is still unsolved.
