High pressure off of the East Coast will keep the heat and humidity around through the weekend. A front will stall near the area over the weekend. This will bring in a chance for a few showers/storms, mainly in the afternoon all weekend and even into early next week. Temps will start around 70° each morning and warm into the mid/upper 80s by the beaches and into the low 90s Inland with very muggy conditions. Factor the humidity and heat together, the heat index(or feels like temperaure) will reach the upper 90s to near 100°. Another front will push through on Tuesday bringing a noticeable cool down and dry weather to follow. A disturbance is gradually moving toward the Gulf of Mexico with a high potential for development into a tropical system. Will it strengthen into Debby over the weekend? Where is it forecast to head? You can always keep up with the latest on the tropics on the Hurricane Central page.
