The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office is looking for an inmate who walked away from his work assignment Monday.
Brandon L. Alford, 31, was serving a six month sentence for Failure to Pay Child Support.
Sheriff Fred Knight says shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, Alford was working at the Marlboro County Administration Building doing landscaping work. He told his supervisor he needed to use the restroom and was last seen by another person walking back into the building.
He's 6'1" and weighs 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing jeans, a red shirt and a camouflage hat.

Sheriff Knight said, "We are conducting an extensive fugitive investigation into the whereabouts of Alford with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service and SLED. Any information you provide will be kept confidential. It is our hope that this young man will surrender himself and this can be brought to a quick resolution."
