The Omega Men of Alpha Beta Beta Chapter of Hartsville donated $2,000 to the Hartsville Boys and Girls Club, Tuesday afternoon.

The fraternity says when it learned many kids couldn't attend the club's summer enrichment programs because their parents couldn't afford, they wanted to do something to help.

The organization's donation will allow 22 children to take part in three reading and math sessions at the club.

Every year, the Omega Men give thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving children in the Darlington County community.

The members say it's their mission to help make a difference in the lives of children.
