FLORENCE -- A Florence group called "99 percent and Fed Up" says it's had enough of high unemployment and crime plaguing the Pee Dee.
The group is rallying for the Florence County Legislative Delegation to bring more jobs to the area and to do what they can to keep jobs from leaving.
"Our unemployment rate is crazy. We don't want people on unemployment. People want to work. They don't want to be on unemployment because let's be realistic, you can't survive off unemployment and live a decent life," said Reverend Willie Jones.
The group is holding a rally outside the John L. McMillan Federal Building in Florence, Saturday June 9.
They will discuss taxes, jobs, veterans, foreclosures, social security, education, economic development, environmental hazards, student loans, medicare, taxes and corporate corruption.
The rally starts at 10 a.m. and will end at 2 p.m.
