MYRTLE BEACH -- Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after police say one man hit another with a stick and the other fought back with a hammer.

Jeremy Graham and Donald Mitchell were arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Battery.

Myrtle Beach police were called to Quail Marsh Apartments on Greens Boulevard about 10 a.m. for a fight near the playground.

Both men were taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with what police say are non life-threatening injuries.

A neighbor says six or seven people were fighting in the parking lot. He says he saw someone with a stick sticking out of his head.

Police are waiting for the men to be treated at the hospital before they interview them to get details on what happened.
