The memories of terminally-ill veterans will soon be preserved for future generations.
Coastal Carolina University, a campus that has been working with veterans to record their war memories, announced a partnership with Mercy Care Hospice Thursday to make sure it reaches veterans who are close to death.
CCU will provide technical support to Mercy Care Hospice to help collect interviews.
These valiant stories are then archived in the Library of Congress for both strangers and families to hear.
"Because I think that they need more and more of that to have the public understand how important it is to the families," said Sgt. Clayton Snider, U.S. Marine Corps.
If you know a veteran that would like to share their story, call CCU and ask for the Military Studies Department.
