Police arrested a Myrtle Beach couple Tuesday, after their two children tested positive for marijuana, according to the Myrtle Beach police report.

Carey Ronald Haselden, 32, and Amber Nichole Thompkins, 26, are charged with two counts of Unlawful Conduct Toward A Child.

South Carolina. Department of Social Services officials started investigating the couple on May 2 and called police on May 11 following a visit of their home on Naylor Avenue. The report said DSS officials found the home dirty, with marijuana and paraphernalia. Police also found locks on the doors to prevent the children from leaving their rooms.

Two 3-year-old children tested positive for marijuana and were placed in protective custody with a relative, the report said.

Haselden and Thompkins also tested positive for marijuana and are being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail.
