CONWAY -- The City of Conway has given its blessing to yarn bombing, the form of folk art in which things like trees and statues are wrapped in crochet-work.
Last month, NewsChannel 15 told you about a yarn bombing project in downtown Conway that had to be removed after someone filed a complaint about it to the city.
But last week, the group that yarn-bombed that tree on Laurel Street got approval from Conway city council for a special events permit for a bigger project that organizers say will debut in mid-September.
The group, Dixie Knitters (who call themselves a loosely knit group), is asking for fiber artists to get involved. Here's where you can go to find out more about the Dixie Knitters group.
