It's deja vu all over again.

Residents have dealt with rain storms sweeping through parts of the Grand Strand and the Pee Dee for the fifth day in a row, putting a damper on plans and the Harley bike rally .

Ronnie Morgan spent the afternoon cleaning up his boat. Not because he's gone fishing lately, but because Wednesday's thunderstorm dumped four to five inches of rain in his Murrells Inlet neighborhood.

"It looked kind of like a river coming down through there," said Morgan about the four foot deep water in his street. "It run over the road and went over there to the church and looked like a pond over there."

The standing water wasn't the only reminder of Wednesday's rain storm.

Jack Luber's company, Coastal Carolina Home Watch, looks after homes of residents who live out of state a majority of the year.

His crews spent Thursday picking up what the storms knocked down.

"Luckily the winds weren't terrific yesterday, sometimes when the hail would be coming down it'd seem to be coming down sideways, but we've gotten a few calls," said Luber. "We've been out to properties where we've been out to it and the people didn't even know about it."

Bikers in town for the spring rally have taken cover just about every afternoon this week.

Riders ducked under awnings at gas stations and bars Wednesday.

Deborah Sicuranco came to the rally from New York.

She said she and her husband have tried to enjoy the bike rally but are having a tough time.

"We've been ducking in and out of the rain trying to get to some of these places," said Sicuranco.

Every time they get a break the skies open up again, she said.

"We've been trying to go back and watch some grand finales that have been on TV's so far, which is crazy."

Those small reminders showed just how much of the havoc storms can bring.

Storms that left more than enough Morgan would have liked.

"We needed some rain," said Morgan. "But not quite that much."
