Patrick Richardson wants to be elected to Senate District 30 in parts of Marion, Dillon, Florence and Marlboro counties, but he says someone is thwarting his efforts by stealing his campaign signs.
Richardson says in the last few weeks he's worked hard and spent long hours putting up campaign signs in all of the counties.
This week, he says he's noticed more than two dozen of his signs have been stolen in Marion County.
"People were telling me - 'we don't see signs.' I tell them I put the signs out and I decided to go around and take a look and start noticing the signs were missing," said Patrick Richardson.
He says his campaign has spent about $1500 dollars on signs and stands, and it may cost him another $400 to order another batch of signs.
"It's very upsetting and disturbing because I don't know why anybody would be taking up my signs."
Richardson has filed police reports with the Marion Police Department and Mullins Police Department.
