Beginning Wednesday, travelers at Myrtle Beach International Airport will see some changes related to the terminal expansion project.

Rental Car customers will now be required to take a shuttle to the new "Ready/Return" parking lot that has just been built as part of the overall terminal capacity enhancement project.

Once you get your rental car, you can exit the airport or circle back to the terminal to pick up the people who traveled with you.

The car rental service counters are now in the baggage claim area. In September, the new Rental Car Facility is scheduled to open.

As of May 21st, Republic Parking will have an enhanced "credit card" reader at the new Toll Plaza, allowing customers to exit the long-term parking facility by using a credit card. There will be no attendant on duty.

Cash customers will still be required to pay at the Republic Parking booth in the main terminal building.
