Every two years people gather in Horry County for the Galivants Ferry Stump.

Monday, voters had a chance to get up close and shake hands with the men and women running for office on the local, state and federal levels.

The event is traditionally Democratic.

One man told us it's a chance to meet the people he's considering voting for.

"I've never met really any of them. And I'm actually getting a chance to meet them talk to them. You know that's how I will make my decision," said Willie Finley.

This year's featured speaker was Congresswoman Donna M. Christensen who represents the Virgin Islands.
