HORRY COUNTY -- Horry County announced Friday its top three candidates for county administrator.
They are:
Mr. Marty Lawing - County Administrator for Brunswick County, North Carolina
John McCue - Business Development Manager for Allen France and Associates in Orange City, Florida
Chris Eldridge - City Administrator for the City of Georgetown
Horry County Council will interview the candidates again at a Special Called Council meeting on Tuesday, May 15, at 2 p.m. These interviews will be conducted during executive session, which means they're closed to the public.
Last November, council voted to release John Weaver from his contract five months early. But under the agreement, the county paid Weaver through April.
Weaver worked for Horry County for eleven years.
Steve Gosnell has been serving as interim administrator.
