A Rowland man was traveling on Highway 301 North near the South of the Border entertainment complex when he ran off the road and crashed into a motel Wednesday afternoon, according to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
The coroner says he is waiting for autopsy results to determine if the man died from injuries suffered in the accident or if something happened to cause him to wreck. He expects autopsy results to be in Thursday afternoon.
The man's name isn't being released until his family is notified.
Highway Patrol is investigating.
