Myrtle Beach police say bad piloting caused a 45-foot boat to get stuck in the Intracoastal Waterway.

Saturday on the waterway between Grissom Parkway and the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes, one adult and three children were stranded after their boat veered into the side of the waterway.

Police say the driver accidentally ran the boat into shallow water. The boat did not crash into any rocks.

No one was injured in the accident and only minor damage was reported to the boat.

A tow-boat later helped the passengers get the boat out of the shallow water.
