Horry County Fire/Rescue was back out at a fire in the Carolina Forest area Friday.
The fire started Tuesday off Tuckahoe Drive, likely by children playing with fire, according to the South Carolina Forestry Commission.
The problem firefighters face is the fire is about 1600 ft. in woods, far away from any hydrants and getting to the fire is difficult.
Friday, firefighters put out sprinklers to soak down the area so the fire doesn't spread.
Firefighters are also running into problems with the vegetation.
"'Cause a lot of these densely vegetated areas, where the ground is cluttered with pine needles that go very deep, and rain is the only thing that soaks it and gets down in it to where the base of the fire is," Battalion Chief Jim Walker said.
The Forestry Commission is also helping contain the fire.
No homes are threatened at this time.
