Chesterfield County Sheriff Sam Parker says Thursday deputies found the body of James "Buck" Davis, 39, in an embankment off of Highway 52 South between Society Hill and Cheraw.

He says deputies were searching the area when they found Davis' body. He has been missing since Sunday when he was last seen wearing black motorcycle gear while riding his silver and black Yamaha FZ-1S motorcycle.

Parker says it appears Davis ran off the road on his motorcycle and went down the embankment.

It's believed he died from injuries suffered in the wreck.

Sheriff Parker says the wreckage appears to be consistent with that of a single vehicle traffic accident and he doesn't suspect any criminal involvement.

Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
