Former State Representative Thad Viers has been suspended from practicing law in the state by the South Carolina Supreme Court, according to Viers' attorney Dylan Goff.

Goff says the suspension is an administrative action because of the charges against Viers of stalking and harrassment. The stalking charge is a felony.

Viers resigned his State House seat last month, just before the indictments were handed down.

Goff stresses that Viers has only been suspended from practicing law, not disbarred.
