The SC Department of Natural Resources says two people apparently drowned on Lake Robinson Friday night.
Major William Poole says just after 6:30 p.m., several people were on a pontoon boat on the lake which is between Darlington and Chesterfield counties.
Poole says one person jumped in the water and another went in after them. Neither emerged, and are presumed to have drowned.
Dive teams are working to recover the bodies. Names have not been released yet.
