South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident where a pedestrian was hit and killed Thursday night.
The Horry County Coroner's Office said Joshua Vaughn, 19, was walking at the Hwy. 17 bypass and Garden City Connector around 9:00 p.m. when he was hit and killed by a car.
Southbound traffic was closed while troopers investigated the scene but reopened later Thursday night.
Highway Patrol doesn't expect any charges to be filed.
