One group is making sure the youngest eligible voters get a chance at the polls.

The League of Women Voters of Florence held a voter registration drive at South Florence High School. They registered students who will be 18 before the November general election.

The women made sure the students' applications were filled out correctly before they headed to the voter registration office. The teenagers say they were thankful for the opportunity.

"I would like to make a difference and I just want my vote to count," says Kierra Singleton.

The voter registration drive is part of a number of yearly service projects by the League of Women Voters.
