A bus-load of Grand Strand fishermen will head to Washington, DC Wednesday, to fight for changes in catch limits.

They'll be part of the "Keep Fishermen Fishing Rally" in the nation's capital.

Thousands of fishermen from around the country will be there to protest federal catch limits on popular species like the red snapper and black sea bass.

Fishermen, like Ron McManus, say the catch limits are based on flawed data and it's hurting their business. "They're making decisions on how many fish can be caught and taking away our limits to the degree that it is just crucifying the commercial and recreational business," he said.

The fishermen say they want to preserve the fish population, but they're not convinced they are overfishing.
