MARION -- High school juniors and seniors in Marion County are getting exposed to area colleges and universities this week.
The Marion College Day Fair is taking place at the Swampfox Higher Education Center in Marion.
Coastal Carolina University, Francis Marion University and Florence-Darlington Technical College representatives are teaching students about the schools and the many financial aid options that are available.
Some students say what they learned today was invaluable.
"You got help with financial aid. and you have learned a lot of stuff like for scholarships and stuff like that. and like what you want to go to school for at different schools," said Anisa Gilchrist.
Officials from several branches of the armed forces and the state work force development also talked with students about careers in the military and jobs available throughout the state.
The Marion School District and the Marion County Economic Partnership sponsored the event.
