The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Horry County at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Troopers say the man driving the motorcycle wrecked after side-swiping a car while traveling west on Highway 22. He was thrown from the motorcycle at mile marker 26.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge tells NewsChannel 15 Maurice Albert Winpigler, II, 54, from Loris, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say Winpigler was not wearing a helmet.
Highway patrol says the other driver will not be charged.
