Fire destroys Mullins home

Mullins firefighters were called to 614 Gilchrist Road about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The vacant home was destroyed.

Firefighters shut down Gilchrist Road for about three and a half hours while they fought the fire.

Marion City Fire, Horry County Fire Rescue, and Marion Rural Fire provided assistance and manpower.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
