Conway Fire Department and Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the WalMart on Church Street about 10:40 a.m. Monday for a smell of gas in the pharmacy area.

Capt. Jeremy Carter says the store was evacuated as a precaution.

Firefighters were not able to find the source of the smell, but they say is dissipated.

People were allowed to go back into the store around noon.
