(AP) -- There's some concern in Myrtle Beach about noise from a new racing attraction.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports  that the NASCAR Racing Experience is opening next month and will operate five days a week at the Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Bill Swinimer lives behind the speedway and says he can't use his back deck and can hardly hear his television on race days.

But Bob Lutz, president and CEO of the NASCAR Racing Experience, says there won't be additional noise from the attraction because only two to three cars will be on the track at a time and they won't be revving as loud as NASCAR cars.

Lutz says noise won't be a nuisance and there will likely be more noise from traffic on nearby U.S. highway 501.
