Georgetown murder suspect's fate could be decided today

Update: Thomas was found not guilty of Canteen's murder. He was convicted on a lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter, according to the Georgetown Times. Read the full story here. 

The 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office says the trial for Antonio Thomas could end today.

Police say Thomas burst into an apartment on Rainey Drive in December 2009 and opened fire.

Irone Canteen, 31, died at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Thomas is being tried for murder.

The Georgetown Times is reporting that the jury began deliberating at 12:20pm.
