The finance committee for the town of Atlantic Beach is expected to discuss the future of Bike Fest during a meeting at 10 a.m. Monday.

Council met last week to talk about the amount of revenue 2011's event generated.

The financial committee originally said the town made less than $5,000 last year, but later set the profit at $18,000.

Council wasn't able to vote on whether the town would hold Bike Fest this year during last week's meeting. Mayor Retha Pierce and Councilman Jake Evans didn't show up, and and there weren't enough members present to discuss it.

Today's meeting is being held at the Community Center, 1010 32nd Avenue South in Atlantic Beach.
