Myrtle Beach police arrested a man for a weekend assault at the Crepe Myrtle Inn, according to the report.
Christopher James Suggs, 20 of Myrtle Beach, is charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Battery.
Police were called to the motel around 11 p.m. Friday and found a 65-year-old man on the second floor, severely beaten, the report said.
Although the man's injuries made it difficult for police to understand him, he was able to tell officers that four people drove off in a Jeep, the report said. The man couldn't tell if they were male or female. He was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Investigators were able to tie Suggs to the crime after they found four prescription drug bottles with Suggs' name on them in a black plastic bag in the motel hallway.
