FLORENCE -- A jury found David Johnson guilty of murder, burglary, armed robbery, possession of a weapon and criminal conspiracy. It took the jury two and a half hours to reach the verdict.

Johnson killed Willie Mae Hayes, 69, during a burglary in 2008.

His co-defendants testified against him this week. Johnson did not take the stand in his own defense. In fact, the defense didn't call any witnesses.

Judge Thomas Russo sentenced Johnson to life in prison.
