The United States Attorney's Office South Carolina District says Jammy Miller pleaded guilty to operating an illegal gambling business Wednesday morning.

Darlington County deputies arrested Miller and 30 others last January in what they called one of the largest gambling operation busts in the Pee Dee.

They were cited with misdeameanor charges of unlawful betting and gambling.

Deputies say they raided a building on Miller's property on Billy Farrow Road and seized cards, poker chips, computers, cars and $180,000.

The arrests followed a month-long undercover investigation.

A federal grand jury indicted Miller in October.

Miller faces up to five years in federal prison. He will be sentenced in about 90 days.
