Mercy Care held a pinning ceremony and gave out certificates of appreciation to those who served our country.

More than 360 veterans were slated to be a part of the ceremony, the largest one Mercy Care has ever held.

The Hospice organization holds these services from time to time to thank veterans and to bring them together.

"We are probably the largest fraternity sorority ever. The veterans are a special group," says Jerry Terwilliger of the Veteran Honor Program.

Ten percent of the sales at Books-A-Million Tuesday benefited the Mercy Honors Program.
