Hartsville Police Chief James Hudson says Darius Ings, 20, has been extradited from Florida to the Darlington County Detention Center.

Chief Hudson says officers have served Ings with a warrant for the murder in the death of Hazel Herkin Knox, 51.

Knox was found shot to death outside his home on Cooley Street in Hartsville in July 2011.

Officers say Ings fled to Deerfield Beach, Florida following the murder.

Police haven't released a motive.

He is scheduled to go before a judge this month for a bond hearing.
