(AP) -- A 27-year-old Conway woman told authorities her newborn daughter tested positive for drugs because she had rubbed cocaine on a sore tooth before giving birth.

Authorities say Tanya Key Moore Lightsey was arrested last week and charged with illegal neglect of child.

Police say the Department of Social Services was told Jan. 7 that a newborn baby had tested positive for cocaine and other drugs. Police say Lightsey told them she had rubbed cocaine on a sore tooth, and that was probably why the girl had tested positive.

The girl has been placed with relatives. Lightsey was being held Monday in jail, and it wasn't clear if she had an attorney.

Police said in 2010 Lightsey gave birth to a child who tested positive for drugs.
