The Tax II students at Francis Marion University have joined forces with the IRS to provide free tax return services to residents in the Pee Dee.

Each Tuesday night from January 31st to April 10th, you can meet with a tax student for help preparing your personal income tax forms.

The hours are 5pm - 9pm at the School of Business Computer Lab in Founders Hall, room 259 C.

This program is through VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, and is part of the IRS.

VITA requires the students to be trained and certified with classes in partnership and corporate tax. They are supervised by an instructor.

In order to have your taxes prepared, you will need to bring your driver's license, social security card, W-2 forms, and any other documents necessary for filing.

There are no income requirements.

For more information, call Brad Johnson at 843-661-1427.
