The Florence County Sheriff's Office arrested Phillip Wenner, 41, of McMinnville, Tennessee, on January 24th.
He's charged with Committing a Lewd Act on a Child Under the Age of 16.
Wenner was arrested in Ohio and returned to Florence.
Investigators say he engaged in a lewd act and committed criminal sexual conduct with an 11-year-old between September and November of last year.
If convicted, Wenner could be sentenced up to 15 years in prison on the Lewd Act Upon a Minor charge and up to 20 years on the Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor charge.
At a bond hearing earlier Wednesday, police say Wenner was released from the Florence County Detention Center on a $100,000 surety bond and will be subject to electronic monitoring while awaiting trial.
