An anonymous donation will keep Katie's Closet open.

The store is part of Katie's Project, an organization that collects formal dresses for girls who may not be able to afford a prom dress.

Wednesday, Project Coordinator Sarah George said the store would have to close because of financial circumstances.

The Market Common donates the store front to the organization. But it needs money for operating expenses like internet, phone and electricity. George doesn't know how long the donation will allow the store to operate, but they are applying for financial grants to keep the doors open.

The boutique planned for Saturday will go on as planned. It's set from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the store. Applications have to be completed online in advance.
